This unique centre of excellence is the largest and most modern equine hospital in Europe, gathering all specialties of the equine veterinary profession in a state of the art facility and focusing on personalised high quality veterinary service. The main hospital building is an asymmetric cross with four wings, two dedicated to administration, reception and laboratory, one for surgery and one for diagnostics. The separate unit has been purpose built for gamma-scintigraphy and Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI. NEH has over 80 stables for in-patients. They are divided into two rows of day boxes and two barns. Each of these stables has a separate air space, which allows horses from different stables to be admitted and discharged without coming into direct contact with one another. Our Lameness investigation facilities include: A floodlit 20x40m ménage (Polytrack surface), A hard lunge, A soft lunge (Polytrack surface), Several trot ups, including a covered one.
