About:

In May 2010, 28 year old Olivia Maylam realised her lifetime’s ambition to become a dual purpose racehorse trainer. Getting to that point was not easy as like all new trainers starting out with limited backing she soon realised how demanding the horseracing game could be.

In January 2011, a move from racing HQ in Newmarket to a bigger yard in Epsom was planned and successfully achieved based primarily on beating the deepening economic crisis that was plunging the nation and racing into recession.

During the 2012 season Team Maylam proudly boast a 11% strike rate runners to winners ratio, and a + £23.00 profit per pound bet for the year. It is our aim in 2013 to maintain statistically such good percentages whilst ensuring our high standards, happy and healthy race horses that consistently give our owners value for money and most importantly fun and of course WINNERS.
