About:

Tim Pitt is a racehorse trainer based at Frankland Lodge Stables which is situated on the historic Hamilton Road in Newmarket - the headquarters of British horse racing. Tim holds a dual purpose licence for both flat and jumps horses and has had plenty of success under both codes.

We have an impressive training record to date having produced winners in some of the most prestigious races in Britain. We have a pair of Group 1 victories courtesy of the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Darley July Cup at Newmarket, with the valuable heritage handicap The Chester Cup also on the roll of honour. These victories are combined with a good winners to runners ratio and a high strike rate of horses finishing in the first four to put some of the so called bigger yards to shame. This success would not be possible without the dedicated staff and back up team which Tim can rely on daily to provide the best care for every individual - both human and equine.

Frankland Lodge Stables are situated with direct access to two of Newmarket’s premier training facilities, adjoining the yard is the Hamilton Hill polytrack and then further along is the vast, historic Racecourse Side training grounds. The famous Warren Hill and Long Hill exercise areas are also easily accessible. Newmarket's two racecourses, home to many prestigious races throughout the year, are no more than a 5 minute drive from Frankland Lodge.

There are 36 spacious and well-aired stable boxes set out in traditional courtyard fashion which front on to a well presented yard. Other facilities at the yard include separate tack and feed rooms with other storage facilities available for hay and bedding. There are three small turn out paddocks which are ideal in allowing the horses to relax after a mornings exercise. A small grass paddock to the rear of the yard is used when the horses are enjoying a "day off" from training where they can pick grass and relax in peaceful surrounds. The Claydon horse walker is positioned in a quiet corner of the yard adjacent to wash down facilities and the racing office is positioned in the centre of the yard - the hub of any trainers life.

Frankland Lodge is perfectly positioned with easy access to some of the worlds best training grounds and is an ideal place to have a horse in training. Newmarket has a vast array of gallops and facilities which are easily accessible to horses at Frankland Lodge.
