About:

Albourne Equestrian Centre was established in 1993 as a Riding School, Livery Yard and Show Centre. The premises, formerly used as a stud have been adapted to our needs and we now have excellent facilities for our Riding School Clients and our Liveries. We are fully licensed by Mid-Sussex District Council (MSDC), and approved by both the British Horse Society (BHS) and the Approved British Riding Schools (ABRS). Regardless what type of livery you are on we understand that owners need to know that their horse is being sympathetically looked after every day by knowledgable people who genuinely care. Albourne Equestrian Centre has long term partnerships with Vets, Farriers and Horse Dentist so our tem of experts will meet all your horses needs. We offer three basic types of Livery Service which we have found over the years works for the majority of our clients. However all Livery’s are flexible and services can be added or changed to suit you the owner and of course your horse. We also have a horse/pony loaning arrangement facility which works really well for those who cannot for whatever reason commit themselves to owning their own but who really would like a bit more hands on/riding time than their weekly lesson gives them. From past experience we find that Part Livery suits most people as it ensures that your horses daily essentials are catered for in accordance with yard routines and it gives you the owner that quality time needed to ensure that you enjoy your horse to the fullest degree. Extra services can usually be provided at fairly short notice, for example you may be going to a show and want your horse bathed and plaited or maybe you are going on holiday and would like to arrange for us to school or hack your horse during that time. Whatever it is we will do our very best to accomodate you. Working Livery is essentially Full Livery at a hugely reduced rate. This type of livery is ideal for busy people or those who need the services but simply want to keep the costs down. All your horse/pony needs will be looked after on a daily basis and as we will be using them in the Riding-School they will be regularly excercised strictly under the supervision of one of our knowledgable Instructors who will also school them on a regular basis to ensure that they contine to be sensible and well trained . Horses need to work regularly if they are to remain fit and healthy so for busy people especially children whose commitments during term time can be quite heavy this Livery service can work incredibly well. Diy Livery: This is a type of livery for those who want to look after their horse/pony themselves and keep the cost down. Your horse will be allocated a stable and grazing will be provided. No services are included in this type of livery but you may like to avail yourself of some of our services which we do offer as extras.
