Middlewick Farm is a British Horse Society approved Livery Yard catering for novice owners to competitive riders. We specialise in convalescence and retirement livery and also welcome broodmares and youngstock. The yard has a friendly relaxed atmosphere, set in quiet rural surroundings on a 1,500 acre arable farm away from passing traffic. There are 17 stables plus 2 isolation/foaling boxes and a vet box with ample grassland. We boast 12 miles of excellent hacking on private tracks and grass gallops with cross country jumps, a large floodlit menage and all year turn out. Situated just 3 miles from Southminster railway station. Middlewick Farm Livery is owned by Wallasea Farms, a family owned arable farming company. The farm takes great pride in maintaining the yard and especially the paddocks to the highest of standards. Whilst the excellent facilities are accompanied by a full range of livery services provided by a qualified full time Yard Manager. All the livery packages detailed below include a stable, grazing, access to all facilities including the Farm Rides. Turnout is provided all year round and 24 hour turnout in Spring and Summer. Full Livery: This service provides a stable, feed (including garlic oil & carrots in winter), hay, bedding and routine wormer. The routine includes: Feed a.m, Change rugs, Turnout, Muck out, bed down, hay and water, Bring in (wash feet and pick out), Change rugs, Feed p.m, Handling for vet and farrier visits. Part Livery: This provides a stable, bedding, hay, feed (garlic oil & carrot in winter). This service also includes turnout, muck out, hay, feeding and water, bring in, washing & picking out feet and rug change Mon-Fri (owner mucks out, feeds haynet, water & either brings in or turns out at weekends). All the livery packages detailed below include a stable, grazing, access to all facilities including the Farm Rides. Turnout is provided all year round and 24 hour turnout in Spring and Summer. DIY Livery: This service provides a stable, access to turnout with use of Facilities and Farm Rides. Hay, and Bedding are supplied at extra cost.Feed a.m, Change rugs, Turnout, Muck out, bed down, hay and water, Bring in (wash feet and pick out), Change rugs, Feed p.m, Handling for vet and farrier visits, Application of Boots / Bandages / Leg Warmers etc. Holiday Livery: ake a break...
