About:
Emma Hustler MSc - McTimoney Animal Practitioner.
Just like people, animals can suffer from neck, back, pelvic and general musculoskeletal pain. The McTimoney treatment has been helping a wide range of species since the 1950's, but is most commonly applied to horses and dogs. The treatment is delivered by hand, and will align and balance the animal's musculoskeletal system.
Emma studied a Foundation Science Degree in Equine Studies at Warwickshire College in 2002. After gaining canine and equine massage certificates, she enrolled on the MSc programme for Animal Manipulation at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxford. This course is currently the only validated course in Europe teaching techniques for adjusting animals.
Emma qualified as a McTimoney Animal Manipulator in 2009, and her MSc in Animal Manipulation was awarded in 2010. Her dissertation examined patterns of pelvic asymmetry between horse and rider. She completed her low-level laser training at The British Racing School in Newmarket. As a member of the MAA, Emma carries full indemnity insurance and is required to maintain her level of expertise by undertaking continuing professional development.
Emma will always work alongside the animal’s Veterinary Surgeon, Farrier, Saddler and Dentist to achieve the best outcome for the animal. Based near Lincoln, Emma travels throughout Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
