At your yard or our purpose-built premises, our five experienced vets will provide expert care to your sports and leisure horses. We are a highly progressive and personalised veterinary practice dedicated to serving both professional and pleasure horse clients by providing the very best care for all our patients.
The Clinic is set within the South Downs National Park, in the village of Fernhurst which is located between Haslemere and Midhurst. Our vets cover a wide geographical area extending across West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire providing high quality 24hr ambulatory veterinary care.
Each vet is equipped with their own X-ray, endoscope and ultrasound machine which allows them to provide the best on-site veterinary care possible. Established by Bruce Middleton in 2003 and joined by John Hennessy the following year, the practice has grown rapidly over the years. There are now 5 vets and 4 office staff working out of a purpose-built clinic, which was completed in the spring of 2011.
Sport Horse Medicine: Our vets have a strong passion for sport horses and always aim to provide the highest quality personalised care for all equine athletes. In support of this our vets are equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging equipment including digital radiography (X-rays), and high quality ultrasound machines and endoscopes.
Lameness: Led by Bruce Middleton who has many years experience with this common performance problem, our vets are trained and experienced in all aspects of lameness diagnosis, treatment and management. As well as having high quality equipment for on-yard diagnosis, we are developing the facilities at our clinic for those cases where an even closer look is required.
Reproduction: We have an excellent reputation in all areas of equine reproduction. Headed up by John Hennessy and Alex Mitchell our vets are skilled in all aspects of the management of mares; whether for natural cover or for artificial insemination (AI) with fresh, chilled or frozen semen. The clinic also has a well-established Embryo Transfer (ET) program.
Dentistry: Our vets are experienced in all aspects of equine dentistry and we offer a range of services from routine dental care to advanced procedures such as extractions.
