At A.P. Lee’s we are committed to giving a high standard of care to all our clients. Being a smaller practice we are able to provide a warm and friendly environment. We consult and operate throughout the week at our base in Carnforth and offer a 24 hour emergency service, should you require it. A.P.
Lee’s Veterinary Surgery is an established mixed veterinary practice; Alison Lee opened the practice as a small family business in 1984. Since then its reputation has grown to the point where the practice employs 2 full-time and two part time vets alongside Alison. The team would not be complete without the skilled friendly support staff.
Still based in the original premises on queen Street, the facilities have expanded to keep up with scientific progress. This enables us to perform various imaging, monitoring, blood sampling and analysis and operations on site.
Blood Testing - We have in house blood machines that allow us to run the majority of out basic screening and monitoring tests on site. It also allows us to run haematologies. Therefore samples can takes and results obtained the same day.
Radiography - Radiography is our primary diagnostic imaging service. It provides a vital tool in orthopaedic, gastrointestinal and thoracic diseases.
Ultrasonography - Our ultrasound scanner gives us a further imaging modality allowing investigation into abdominal problems. It is frequently used for pregnancy diagnosis.
ECG - Electrocardiography is used to ascertain the heart and rhythm. This aids in the determination of cardiac disorders.
Laboratory Services - Several labs are used for further processing of samples that we are unable to deal with in house.
Referrals - We are fortunate to have access to excellent specialist colleagues in the area. Should conditions require further investigation or specialised treatment that we cannot provide we are more than happy to organise a referral to the necessary centre.
24hr Cover - We provide our own 24hr service so no matter what, you will see a vet from the practice that has access to your animals records.
