About:

One of the most famous racing yards in Middleham built in 1800 by Lord Glasgow. This yard is situated close to the Market Place in the centre of Middleham and is the the home of Chris and Judy Fairhurst.

Chris Succeeded his father, Tommy 'Squeak' Fairhurst in 1994 and is the latest in a long line of trainers at Glasgow House. Chris himself rode more than fifty jump winners before he became a trainer. Judy rode races as an amateur lady rider and was a junior show jumper!

Together the Fairhursts` take a very active 'hands on' part in the running of their yard and can be seen riding out daily. They encourage syndicate ownership and partnerships and are supported by a loyal and hardworking staff. Any of their owners will tell you that it is more like one big family at Glasgow House Stables and you will always be made welcome when you come to visit your horses.
