About:

Hidden within the spectacular countryside of North Yorkshire lie the stables of one of Britain's most famous racehorse trainers. For half a century, Mick Easterby has trained champion racehorses from his yard at Sheriff Hutton.

Famous winners include Mrs McArdy (1000 Guineas), Wiganthorpe (Gimcrack Stakes), Lochnager (Champion sprinter), Gentleman's Deal (Winter Derby) and most recently Hoof It (Stewards Cup). Now Mr Easterby offers you the opportunity to take advantage of his many years experience, either as an outright owner or as a partnership or syndicate.

Mick Easterby also has a dedicated staff who look after the horses. If you're interested Mr Easterby would be glad to help you purchase perhaps a future champion sprinter or even a Grand National winner, and benefit from his many years of experience of buying and training talented bloodstock.

Mick Easterby's training facilities are extensive and well-maintained. They include gallops, horse walkers (indoor and outdoor), stabling for over 150 horses and access to top class veterinary services.

Located in the scenic North Yorkshire countryside surrounding the village of Sheriff Hutton, the horses are trained on our sand and plastic gallops. The stiff uphill gallops were installed before the start of the 1999 National Hunt season, and we attribute the vast improvement in the form of our jumpers to this testing gallop. We also have sand pits, where we can school the young national hunt horses and teach them to jump.
