Eric Alston is a successful racehorse trainer based in Longton near Preston, Lancashire in the UK.

Eric began his racing career as an apprentice jockey with Walter Wharton at Weatherby. He later trained as a permit holder before taking out a public licence. Eric and Sue run this family business in Longton, near Preston Lancashire.

With the help of eight staff they currently stable 24 horses. This allows them to provide personal care and attention. They have been producing winners since 1980; 215 in the past 10 years, and this season (2011) produced 19 winners from 24 horses. They have raced worldwide when the right opportunities arose including Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
