About:

David Simcock is a Group 1-winning racehorse trainer, based in Newmarket. Since starting out in 2004, his career has gathered considerable momentum with recent stable star Dream Ahead giving him his biggest successes to date. The brilliant colt landed five Group 1s over two seasons and was crowned Europe's champion sprinter in 2011.

David has enjoyed other high-profile successes with horses such as Bushman, Darley Sun and I'm A Dreamer. The town's famous training facilities are rigorously maintained by Jockey Club Estates and contain more than 50 miles of grass and artificial gallops. The yard has two American style barns which have 40 large, well-ventilated boxes and a further 14 boxes set out in the traditional courtyard style of many of Newmarket's top stables.

Furthermore five of the boxes at Trillium Place are equipped with heat lamps to bring on fillies who are behind in their coats. These lamps are regularly used to acclimatise horses who are travelling to warmer countries to race; for example, Dubai where David is a regular visitor to the prestigious International Racing Carnival.

A covered lunge pit allows variations in the exercise regimes of the horses as well as being used in the early education of Trillium Place yearlings and two-year-olds.

An outdoor trotting ring means horses can gain light exercise and warm-up before going onto the training grounds, thereby reducing chances of injury. Trillium Place Stables also has a large horse-walker for light exercise and bringing horses steadily back from setbacks.

A large paddock area allows horses to pick grass and cool off after exercise in the summer and on-site accommodation means that staff can dedicate as much time as possible to their horses.
