Harry's speciality is finding untapped potential in young horses and giving them confidence and letting their natural ability develop, before releasing them onto the racecourse at the right time, as seen when Dubai Kiss won on his first outing.
In April 2007, Harry set up Hill Barn stables as a pre-training yard, and since then has been supported by trainers and owners such as Nicky Henderson, Tom Dascombe, Laurence Bellman, David Arbuthnot, Carl Llewellyn, Nicholas Jones, Larksborough Stud, Andrew Black, Wickham Stud, Tom Goff, Ed Sackville, Phil Dixon and Mike Allsopp.
For the 2010/11 and 2011/12 National Hunt seasons, Hill Barn stables also operated as a satellite yard for Nicky Henderson, managed by Harry, and sending out 17 winners. The confidence Harry has in finding and purchasing the right types of horses at the sales has been a key factor in becoming a licensed trainer. In September 2012 Harry took out a the full trainers licence and from just five horses in the first season he has a strike rate of 20%, with three wins from 15 runs, which has been a great start.
