About:

You would never believe that is now seven years since Charlie started his training career. Having started with just ten horses in his first season, he now has over seventy horses for the 2013/14 season. His career has gone from strength to strength since he moved to Hull Farm four years ago and he has now trained over 240 winners.

The highlights being Songe's win in the Blue Square Chamion Hurdle Trial at Haydock in January 2009, Palypso de Creek's run in the Grand National in 2010 and more recently Paintball's Imperial Cup win at Sandown and Pete the Feat's amazing five timer last season.

Charlie would be lying if he said he achieved what he set out to do last season, but he did have 54 winners and won over £350,000 in prize money in what was a very difficult winter with the extreme weather. He might have been only 20th in the trainers title, but was 13th on numerical winners.

Charlie is gradually getting a stronger team, and he is aiming to have over 70 winners and to break the £500,000 barrier in prize money won this 2013/14 season. He is also keen to be challenging for more of the bigger prizes this season and build on the success from last season. With the likes of Pendra, Vulcanite, Grandad's Horse, Pete the Feat and numerous exciting youngsters he will hopefully be able to do this.

Charlie has an expanding team behind him who are extremely dedicated and ambitious. They pride themselves on happy, healthy horses and believe this is shown in the results. We have a fantastic set of owners, most of whom have been with us since the early stages of his career and they help to make Charlie Longsdon Racing a very close knit team.
