About:

My name is Amy Derber and I'm a horse trainer, coach and rider based in the North West of England as part of Team Derbz. I specialise in providing coaching for show-jumping and working with nervous horses and riders, but am able to cater for all levels and disciplines of horse and rider. From my original base in Portugal, I have competed successfully in show-jumping at International level and have ridden and trained in South Africa, Portugal, England, Belgium and Ireland. As well as show-jumping, I have also studied a variety of conventional and natural horsemanship training techniques, enabling me to truly cater for each individual horse and their circumstances. Breaking livery: Using a combination of traditional and natural techniques tailored to suit your individual horse. As standard I aim to return your horse with the basics in walk, trot, canter and able to jump small fences, as well as some 'bomb-proofing.' However I can keep horses for longer to school them further by arrangement. It's difficult to say for certain how long each individual horse will take, but most horses are usually here 2 - 6 weeks depending how much work they've had done previously and how established you'd like them returned. Competition Livery: Portuguese/South African ranked young rider with international wins consistently at CSI***. On request. Schooling livery: Schooling/producing for show-jumping, general leisure use, fitness, pony/riding club activities, children’s use and problem horses. I specialise in schooling for jumping and sale and in the production of ponies, as well as working with problem horses. Sales livery: Covering preparation, advertising, viewings, vettings and transport. Holiday livery: On request.
