About:

We believe horses need to be turned out as much as possible. The centre has 40 acres of safe, well fenced pasture land. Our goal is that all horses are turned out every day of the year, last year even with the very wet winter we achieved 80% of our goal. All livery owners have a written contract with Sedgeway Equestrian Centre detailing the terms of the livery agreement, This contract protects both the owner and the centre equally. The centre povides Care Custody and Control insurance, limit of indemnity any one animal £10,000 in the policy period, along with standard Public and Employer liability insurance. All livery horses are placed under direct care and supervision of a full time BHSAI. Livery owners have unrestricted access to the centre, 24 - 7 and enjoy free use of all the facilities. Main Stable Block: The main stable block was built in 2001. This building has been built to the highest standards, traditional brick with tiled roof and double-glazed windows. This building is custom made for horses. The design of the ventilation system ensures that the stables are cool in the summer and warm in the winter without any condensation problems. Incorporated within this building is the tack room and a toilet, both are heated. Indoor School: The indoor school is located next to the main stable block. It has a silica sand surface and is post and rail fenced, with a viewing area. Lighting is up to full competition standards. Outdoor School: 20m x 40m all weather surface, with lighting up to full compertition standard. Cross Country Course: A valued asset for riders and horses to both practice and gain experience with a variety of jumps and obstacles that are well maintained. Hacking: The centre has direct access from its land to superb rides and bridle way networks without any roadwork.
