About:

Owning a horse is one of the most liberating feelings possible. The bond that forms between you and your horse can be profound and life-changing. However, horses demand a huge commitment in terms of time and effort to look after them properly; exercise, feeding, grazing and stable management all form part of that commitment. During the summer months, this can be an absolute pleasure, with the sun shining and clear skies above. But in winter, when it's dark and blowing a gale with horizontal rain, it's quite the opposite. So why not let us look after your horse for you. We offer a range of livery options, depending on your budget and how involved in your horse's welfare you want to be. Full livery means we do everything; muck and skip out your horses stable, arrange all it's feed and grazing and exercise it five days a week. Part livery means we do everything for a full livery but stop at lunchtime on Saturday - you then take over for the rest of the weekend and on bank holidays. We also offer working livery, where if appropriate, we use your horse in our lessons and pay you for the time he or she is used. Of course, we do this in conjunction with you, to ensure that the horse is never being used in a lesson when you want to ride him or her. At The Stables, we bed our horses on straw in weather-proof stables, we muck out every morning and skip out every afternoon, the horses are fed twice-daily on a combination of specific feeds with supplements and exercised either in our indoor or outdoor schools. In good weather they are turned out in our paddocks, totaling 15 acres and are looked after alongside our own horses when it comes to veterinary care and our very skilled farrier.
