Set in 61 acres of ring fenced beautiful Hampshire land, the Exton Stud is a premier livery, stud and competition training yard situated in the village of Exton in the Hampshire countryside within easy reach of Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton. Under new management with refurbished facilities, our location offers magnificent hacking around the bye lanes near Exton village and the bridle paths of the South Downs Way with access to gallops in some of the surrounding fields where areas have been left as “Set aside”. Our roomy stables offer light and airy accommodation for your equines while our other facilities offer everything required for riders of all disciplines. A friendly run Hampshire stud, livery and competition training yard with excellent facilities for dressage riders, show jumpers, eventers, working hunters and showers situated in the heart of the Meon Valley located on the South Downs Way with easy access to motorway links and many competition centres. Livery in Hampshire service is available as part, full and competition, your horse will be looked after as one of our own with the best of care. The livery packages include full use of a resurfaced 20x40m indoor school with a full set of jumps. The outdoor Olympic size school benefits from a silica sand and rubber surface also with a full set of jumps. Part Livery: Muck out, Turn out /bring in, Haylage, Straw/shavings, Hard feed, Late night checks, Change Rugs. Full Livery: Muck out, Turn out /bring in, Haylage, Straw/shavings, Hard feed, Attending to the farrier/vet, Late night checks, Exercise two times a week, Clean tack, Grooming. Competition Livery: Muck out, Turn out /bring in, Hay/haylage, Straw/shavings, Hard feed, Attending to the farrier/vet, Late night checks, Exercise four times a week, Clean tack, Grooming, Get horse ready for comp. Breaking Livery: Included as per full livery plus backing or breaking a previously unbroken horse to train it to a standard allowing a competent rider to ride the horse in an enclosed safe enviroment. Student Livery: We can offer limited student accomadation for you and your Horse. You will work as a groom for half of the day, then training for you and your Horse/s will be provided for around one hour during the remainder of the day.
