Scott Smith is one of the most recognised and successful show jumpers of his generation. During his teenage years Scott won several national titles and European championship medals with ponies, and was crowned Junior Showjumper of the Year before his 16th birthday.Success with horses soon followed and by the age of 26 Scott established himself amongst the elite of the Equestrian world with his first Senior Championship appearance.
Scott's greatest achievements include World Equestrian Games and European Championship team appearances for Great Britain as well as some 35 Nations Cup team appearances since 1998 at senior level. Scott has also been ranked as high as no.2 on Britain's computer list for numerous seasons and has been classed as part of Britain’s Elite Riders Squad for a total of 5 years. His competition experience with a wide variety of horses and breeds is second to none within his age group.
Scott's extensive knowledge of the equestrian world also includes the stud industry; he has bred many foals with world class breeding and potential, selecting bloodlines, selecting future champions, and producing young horses from breaking to Olympic level.
Scott is a very sucessful trainer, from beginners to International Riders (ages 8 to 60 years), and is a qualified UK coach in Show Jumping.
The English system is one of the most flexible and economical in the world in which to produce and develop horses and riders. Facilities include: large Fibre sand arena, spacious stables, solarium, 6 horse covered walker, paddocks, wash stalls and stallion and transport facilities.
