About:

I have been practicing as an Equine Dental Technician since 2003. I originally trained in America at the Academy of Equine Dentistry in Idaho which enabled me to carry out very basic work in the UK, dealing with sharp edges and broadening my experience and practical ability.

My formal and UK qualifications means that you are guaranteed a high level of service/knowledge and I now carry out referral work from Veterinary practices. As a member of the BAEDT I have to maintain my on-going education every year and I have to be insured (medical malpractice and public liability). The BAEDT have a code of conduct and disciplinary process which I follow implicitly, and which gives you, the client, peace of mind.

When I work with you and your horse I will talk you through what I am doing and why. I can point out the need for dental work and how it will benefit your horse. As a rider I can appreciate the subtle issues that can affect a horse’s way of going/schooling.

I usually have a 4 to 6 week waiting list and am happy to come to you for just one horse or several. You should have your horse treated regularly, generally once or twice a year depending on your level of work or the age of your horse.
