I’m Joel Inkpen, and I’m a qualified and registered chiropractor. In order to transfer my skills as a human chiropractor to treat animals, I trained with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) in Bournemouth. I gained my masters degree as a human chiropractor from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan.

Animal chiropractic care is a natural, holistic approach to animal care. This effective manual therapy is used for many health and performance problems, and to improve movement and general wellbeing, primarily in horses and dogs. While animal chiropractic doesn’t replace traditional veterinary medicine or surgery, it provides a proven means of diagnosis and treatment for spinal problems, or biomechanical-related musculoskeletal disorders, and can often eliminate the source of acute or chronic pain.

Animals can’t tell us when they’re in pain, but as an animal lover you know when your animal is suffering. When your horse or dog needs care and attention you want a proven and effective treatment to bring rapid relief from the symptoms of pain and discomfort. Animal chiropractic can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. It’s also recommended as a routine treatment, to help maintain a natural range of movement, and to boost general health and wellbeing.
